We fell in love with these two after spending a couple hours with them during their spring post-engagement shoot. Such a sweet, smart and adventurous couple. They had met years ago, and rekindled their connection during the pandemic, long-distance. He’s from Mexico, living in LA, and she’s a Colorado transplant living in North Carolina.

Abby and Alvaro have such a unique vibe, and I got to capture it in downtown Durham. We did most of this shoot in the alleyway next to Alley 26, then moved on to the American Tobacco Campus, which is always a favorite for me. We enjoyed each other so much we capped off the evening with drinks at a favorite downtown Durham watering hole.

As if we weren’t having fun already, after receiving their photos they invited us to photograph their fall destination wedding in Cancun. As in, Mexico. To which we said..”I Do!”
