Now these two were the definition

of true love

We got to know Kendra and Peter over a year and a half ago, and the chemistry was immediate. They had planned originally to get married a full year earlier, right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, but decided wisely to delay their wedding to allow more friends and family to attend.

The venue was new to us, and so we had no particular expectations. We were impressed by the rustic elegance of the venue (The Barn at Valhalla in Chapel Hill). The entire complex is very tastefully done and perfect for a wedding. With elevated decks & walkways, a gazebo on the water and a beautiful barn to hold the wedding reception in, the setting really perfect.

Kendra and Peter were married inside the great room of the main lodge. With family and friends in attendance for the wedding ceremony, the couple exchanged vows and forged a union with the kind of emotion that grabs you and draws you in. After the wedding, I went off with the couple to explore the grounds and capture some beautiful portraits of the two of them. Despite the less-than ideal weather conditions, we were not hindered from maximizing the use of various indoor and outdoor spaces, as the photos below will attest. We found that the Barn at Valhalla has no shortage of locations to shoot.

Kendra and Peter – Thank you so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer! I thoroughly enjoyed working with you for your wedding and a very big congratulations to you both!
